Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Class – Belleville, MI Wayne County Community College – Belleville Campus 9555 Haggerty Road, Belleville, MI 48111 This Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) class meets and exceeds all state requirements and is taught by Amy Lucas, owner of Steel & Stilettos Firearms Training, a retired law enforcement professional with over 30 years of firearms training instructor experience. This one-day course goes beyond the basics. Students will participate in an in-depth review of Michigan firearm laws, safe handling, transportation, storage, and responsible carry practices. Michigan law requires 8 hours of instruction and a live-fire qualification of at least 30 rounds, and this course fully meets those requirements. Yesterday I finished a three part series of classes and loved it! Amy is an amazing teacher! All three classes had people of all skill levels, from beginners to people who were very experienced, which gave the class a great collaborative/team feel. Amy creates a really welcoming vibe for everyone and I never felt judged for being a beginner with beginner questions. Safety and learning were the top priorities, and Amy does an amazing job of balancing all skill levels while making it a lot of fun! After all three classes I feel way more confident, and I had so much fun! I can’t wait to take more classes with Amy!
I recently completed the USCCA Instructors course in Detroit with Amy Lucas, and I was thoroughly impressed. I took the USCCA certified instructor course with Amy Lucas and it was awesome. Amy brings a lot of experience and was very knowledgeable and very clear and concise, and also had a great sense of humor. If you’re looking to expand your knowledge on firearms, I would highly recommend her course.
My sister and I took Amy's CPL class and had such a great time. She was knowledgeable, patient, kind, funny, and easy to talk to. We did the Ladies Only CPL course, and she truly took that seriously — a gentleman accidentally showed up that day, and she handled it with grace rescheduling him for a different day. She makes you feel empowered, not just to learn how to properly handle a firearm, but to understand the knowledge that goes along with it. If you're second-guessing doing this for yourself, please don't. Amy is in your corner, and you'll truly learn so much from her. Keep up the great work you're doing for the firearm community, Amy! Amy Lucas is very knowledgeable and confident when teaching you the fundamentals of concealed carry! I’d recommend her to my friends and family. You get more range time practice after everyone has completed the required time/rounds necessary to complete the program which is fun! I will book with her for any other fire arm classes I may need :)
A amazing experience overall! Been looking at getting my CPL for a long time now but was nervous since I’m new to guns and don’t have much knowledge. Left the class feeling very comfortable with all the laws and knowledge I needed to carry and never felt embarrassed to ask a question during class! This is perfect for beginners and advanced people needing to get a CPL! Would and have recommend them to everyone!
I attended Amy's USCCA Certified Instructor Program and it was phenomenal. Amy's depth of knowledge and professionalism was very impressive. I can't wait to take another class with her. It was a pleasure having her as my instructor. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
