“I recently took the Prime Defense CPL class and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From start to finish, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about teaching self-defense and responsible gun ownership. The class was well-structured and covered all the necessary topics for obtaining a CPL. The instructors provided thorough explanations and demonstrations, ensuring that everyone understood the material. They also created a supportive and inclusive learning environment, where questions were encouraged and individual concerns were addressed. One aspect that really impressed me was the emphasis on safety. The instructors emphasized the importance of proper handling, storage, and maintenance of firearms. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt comfortable and confident in their ability to handle a firearm safely. The practical exercises were extremely valuable. We had the opportunity to practice shooting techniques, engage in scenario-based drills, and learn how to effectively respond to different self-defense situations. “Shawn and Jerry are an awesome father and son duo with tons of knowledge (and John the range officer was super great as well!). I was worried about taking a class that was so long all in one day, but they truly made it enjoyable and the breaks and lunch really broke it up. They’re both really funny, and Jerry had me cracking up, he’s playful, but is happy to answer any questions you might have and I had a LOT because I have never loaded, carried, or shot a gun before. I was extremely appreciative that they never made me feel stupid for asking anything. My only feedback would be to go into how we should be loading our weapons and how to do it/what to look for (as someone who has never done it, I asked about this because I literally didn’t even know how to face the bullets), and I also think learning a quick hands-on lesson on how to take apart a gun and the cleaning/maintenance basics would be really cool for more inexperienced people like myself. Other than those two suggestions, the class was extremely informative, and I feel better and safer after taking it. Thanks so much for the lunch, and for being so helpful and non-judgmental. You guys were amazing, and my step dad and I had a great time!”

“This is a training course BEYOND expectation! Before I attended this training, I had a million questions jotted down as I am an attorney and that's how many questions I needed answered. To be honest, by the end of the course, everything was answered and explained to me. I walked in feeling hesitant, walked out feeling confident. Shawn and Jerry are wonderful trainers, they know what they're talking about. The course covers fundamentals, purpose, when, where, and how to use a firearm, and all the legal aspects of carrying a concealed weapon. I didn't have a firearm to train with, they supplied me with one. They provide you with a loaner for the course at the range that is a type suitable to that person. The course schedule is well organized, PowerPoint presentations made, a simulation session, and finally a training session held at a nearby range. There is literature available for purchase which includes everything that was presented in the course. I am SO GLAD I enrolled in this course with Prime Defense Firearms Training LLC. This is the only place I will be recommending to my friends an family. Thank you so very much!”

My name is Jerry Crowl. I grew up around firearms—my father was a trap shooter and hunter, and I began shooting at 12 while helping reload shells weekly. At 19, I joined the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman working with aircraft weapons. After service, I spent 13 years in a Volunteer Fire Dept (earning Paramedic certification), 12 years with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and 14 years as a reserve Marine Division deputy. I’m a veteran who values education, safety, and the Constitution.
