Karl and Brad are top-tier CPL instructors. Just wrapped up my CPL class with Karl and Brad, and let me tell you — this is exactly the class you want to take. Karl handled the classroom portion and was flat-out phenomenal. He breaks everything down in a way that’s easy to understand, uses real-world scenarios, and keeps everyone locked in from start to finish. You can instantly tell he’s extremely knowledgeable, but he teaches in a way that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and actually excited to learn. Then you get to the range with Brad — another absolute pro. Cool, patient, and knows how to explain things in a way that makes you instantly shoot better. He pays attention to the little details that matter and makes sure safety stays the #1 priority. If you’re new to shooting, he’s the kind of guy who puts your nerves at ease. If you’ve been shooting for years, he’ll still teach you something new. Karl and Brad are the perfect combo: knowledgeable, professional, funny, and genuinely passionate about training responsible CPL carriers. You leave feeling prepared, educated, and 100% confident. If you’re on the fence about where to take your CPL class — stop looking. Go with Karl and Brad. Best decision you’ll make.
An excellent course that really gives you a clear understanding behind the responsibility of gun ownership. The instructor was very clear and organized and gave the information in a friendly manner. No one is singled out even if they have no prior knowledge when taking the class but instead encouraged to learn in a calm relaxing atmosphere. They cover gun laws, self defense, and various topics to help those getting their CPL to be responsible once they begin carrying. Many clear "worst case" scenarios are given not to scare students, but rather show them just how important it is to be mindful of the responsibility they now have. They have a virtual gun range that you participate in as part of the class to introduce you to know guns work, how to hold them and provide a safe environment to begin learning the basics. We played two "games" to show us how to aim and focus on a target. One being shooting a paper target and another a can. I got the worst grade by a mile, but I still felt accepted as a student as the class progressed. We later went into the firing range where we shot 50 rounds from our own personal guns or rentals provided by the class. The instructor showed us proper shooting techniques while keeping us safe. The experience has left me feeling more confident and eager to continue my own education and practice. I now start with the basic Penny Drill (in my case they said use a quarter) and am happy with the slow but steady results. I am quite tempted to rent out their virtual range to try and avenge my soda can shooting score of 52! Overall this class is a must for anyone wanting their CPL or just wanting to debunk the fear of gun ownership and educate themselves. Both instructors are brilliant and I urge anyone interested to check out the class!
Brad’s CPL class was amazing - as a woman with zero shooting experience I left his class feeling confident. My fellow classmates who had a lot of shooting experience also raved that he was a great instructor and provided real tips to improve their shooting accuracy . He has the right temperament for this job - real gun, great tactical skill and know-how , no politics , just preparation! He was also very knowledgeable about laws and how to keep ourselves safe as CPL holders. Janelle from FPL insurance was amazing as well - they’ve provided a no fuss option to stay protected and avoid exorbitant legal fees if we do have to defend ourselves! Well worth the money ! #DontShootBrad
