Important Practical Notes from MSP

• Viewing Documents: Some MSP documents are in PDF format. If you have trouble viewing them in Google Chrome, you may need to disable Chrome's built-in PDF viewer or use an alternative browser.
• Online Application Issues: If the online handgun permit application does not accept your email address, you may handwrite your email address on the application. Ensure it is accurate and legible. You may also print the application with the red banner showing.
• Phone Number Formatting: The online application may automatically add "+1" in front of phone numbers. This is a known software behavior and will not affect your phone number's accuracy.
• Name or Address Changes: It is the permit holder's responsibility to notify the Licensing Division of any name or address changes in writing. There is no fee for updating this information. Email notifications are not accepted, and you may not receive a confirmation of receipt.
• Interpreter Services: The MSP provides interpreter service information for non-English speakers. Details are available in English and Spanish on the MSP website.
